Classically elegant and at the same time very athletic – Siegfried Road transforms streets into racetracks. One gear is enough to chase agilely to the office and stay perfectly in training.

Siegfried with racing ambitions

Siegfried Road is the athletic brother of the very first Schindelhauer model and adds a road bike twist to the elegant minimalist design philosophy. Equipped with drop bar and integrated brake levers, the riding position is more aerodynamic. Faster tyres provide even more propulsion. A curved fork, leather applications by Brooks and polished components represent the typical Schindelhauer look.

A special drive

Enjoy the agility and effortless control pinpoint handling offers plus the ability to switch easily from fixed gear to freewheel with a flip-flop hub. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX CenterTrack belt offers a quiet, lightweight and maintenance-free alternative to the traditional chain.

Fixed-gear or single speed

Thanks to a second sprocket, you can simply take off the wheel, flip it over to switch between freewheeling and engaging a gear anytime. The aim was to design a stiff wheel that could stand up to the rigours of tough everyday use.

The Shimano Alfine crankset and the belt drive system make an excellent combination - at the same time, as a visual highlight, it decisively shapes the character of the bike.

Gates Carbon Drive

Since day one, Schindelhauer has been using the superior belt drive from Gates, which consists of embedded carbon fibres. All bikes are specially designed for the belt drive in order to take advantage of all the benefits.

Siegfried Road is designed from the ground up for the Gates Carbon Drive to make the most of all the advantages of the drive system. Innovative technologies such as the Schindelhauer Belt Port and the Crocodile tensioning system are seamlessly integrated to consistently maintain the purist design.

Aluminium frame

Stable, robust and yet a true lightweight - the frame is made of high-quality 6061 aluminium. The smoothed weld seams using the "flat-welding" process are a visual highlight.

Patented Belt Port

The patented Belt Port, an almost invisible opening at the dropout, makes it very easy to change the belt drive.

Crocodile-belt-tensioning-system

The belt drive needs to be kept under tension, a job performed by our patented crocodile-belt-tensioning-system. With a simple turn of the spanner washer, the axis is freely adjustable and the belt can be prestressed.

Elegant road bike cockpit

High-quality Brooks leather features and silver-polished components reveal the clear character traits: Siegfried Road is an urban sportsman in classic guise. The uncluttered cockpit combines form and function to perfection.

Drop bar with TRP road lever

The TRP – RRL SR transcends the ages by offering a race quality lever without an integrated shifter. The classic styling trademarked by heroes of decades past make this a stylish lever for Siegfried Road. The ergonomically shaped lever is drilled to enhance beauty while reducing weight.

Brooks bar tape

Soft, smooth and made of perforated leather that’s breathable and lightweight, this bar tape will make you enjoy your two-wheel adventures all the more. It also lends this bike a little extra character.

Schindelhauer stem

Reduced and integrated: You’ll love the clean and neat appearance achieved by transferring the segment system from our seat post clamp. The stem can be mounted to angle either upward or downward (+/- 7° rise).
